How to write Biology research papers

Most biology research papers and term papers are written in CSE/CBE Style and the official citation guide is from the Council of Biology/Science Editors. Some biology research papers also follow Vancouver style depending on the word count and the type of paper.

Reviewing scientific literature and writing a research paper is essential to writing a good research paper in Biology. A well written research paper or term paper has to meet two main objectives. Firstly, it has to describe the procedures followed in a comprehensive and clear manner. Secondly, the paper must place any results and conclusion in perspective by appropriately relating to the existing literature already available and also by interpreting their relevance and importance in any future study. To place a research paper properly in perspective, it requires

1. Providing a concise review of the literature and knowledge on the topic
2. Relate the work to the knowledge and literature available
3. Clearly stating the hypotheses that the study is intended to address
4. Interpret the results of a study with relation to the hypotheses as well as the literature available on the topic
5. Identify and discuss the scientific questions and any procedural weakness that may be addressed in future study.

At the same time, a research paper also needs to be procedural weakness and concisely written. The use of Superfluous overabundance of words is a hindrance for the audience. When editing the paper should be double checked for any grammatical error and it needs to me ensured that all statements in the paper make sense.

Biology, also commonly called biological sciences refers to the scientific study of life. Biology involves the study of structure, function, growth, distribution and evolution of all living things. Biology also classifies as well as describes the anatomy and physiology of organisms, the process of specification as well as the interactions that living things have with the environment and between each other.

Biology was developed as a distinct science in the 19th Century as scientists began to recognize that organisms usually share fundamental characteristics. Over 1 million papers in biology are published every year in a large number of medicine and biology journals.

When writing Biology research papers and term papers, it has to be kept in mind that the paper will be seeking to explain scientific research or study. The goal of a paper is to convey to the reader what a test has been conducted about or what has been studied. A common misleading mistake is that many students feel that term papers in biology do need to be in top class professional English. The reality is that all term papers and research papers have to be written extremely concisely in order to maintain readers’ attention and communicate what an author want to communicate to his o her audience.
